Starting work in the midst of CNY

Unlike all the years before, tml I'll have to start work on the 5th day of CNY. The days when the 5th day of CNY still seem so exciting and full of CNY spirits and atmosphere is no longer around. But nevertheless knowing I can still see my baby Dar Dar during lunch time (but unlikely for after work coz I'll most probably but doing OT) perks me up a little.

Today, me and Dar Dar went out as planned for our movie Kung Fu Dunk at Marina Square. We went for a quick brunch at my favourite Yoshinoya before that. I initially don't really feel like watching it coz it seem like a rather unrealistic show to watch, but I hold no regrets after watching the show. Not bad at all! Worth watching I would say. Then we went to meet Yeefong to get my bag that I bought from his online shop. Shall use it this week. hehe...

(Don't snap when my mouth is full...=p)

(Taken while waiting for Yeefong at Serangoon MRT control)

Knowing and remembering that we both still have to work tomorrow, we decided to go home earlier then before. So at around 7 plus 8pm Dar Dar came home with me to have dinner (coz my mum called to say my maid cooked a lot). Wanted to send Dar Dar home but dunno why he refused to let me do it. Anyway he then went back straight after dinner. As for me, it's facial mask time.

Tomorrow's gonna be the start of a long stay at a new job engagement. 1 month! 1 month in a job that I would say I don't really have much interest and liking in. Still, I know I have to accept the fact and perk myself up (or at least try to perk myself up though it's probably gonna be tough). Looking forward to this coming friday, coz i'll be turning 23 already! Hopefully I can leave earlier on that day and won't have to do OT. Pray hard for me ba!!!

Till then, I shall keep myself fit to fight this upcoming battle! Wish me luck and strength =)

    Happy Lunar New Year!!!

Happy Lunar New Year to all!!!yeap came a little late but still not too late!hopefully all of you out there have been enjoying your CNY so far...as for me...here's some updates!

Starting on CNY eve, me and baby Dar Dar had to "pao tai" as usual just like what we did last year! First to my house and then followed by his. He brought a big hamper that he wrapped himself over to my house while I brought some chinese BBQ pork and abalone over to his house. Fortunately, the time spread between the 2 reunion dinners was wider this year. My family reunion started at around 615pm whilst his started only at around 10pm. Enough time for both of us to digest our first meal...hahax!

Then came CNY!!! As I wanted to ensure I have a good sleep and not wake up scratching my skin due to some skin allergy, I took medication. But due to the drowiness effect that took effect for more then 12 hours, I kept sleeping into afternoon though I woke up for breakfast with my family. The effect only went off at around 5pm on CNY first day! Rahhh...Baby came over as my daddy cooked chicken claypot rice! My bro's gf was also here, so daddy made sure he cooked a big enough pot of rice! keke...after which we rested for a while before going over to my grandma's house to bai nian! Politics on my mother's family side arose once again, but this time round it appeared rather humorous to my family though. Around 9 plus 10pm, we left grandma's place and dar dar came to my house for some Baileys. Red wine was a star for the night too! The night ended around 11 plus when Dar dar went back home.

And as for today, CNY second day, as usual I was woken from my deep sleep (though I didn't take my skin allegy medication) by my parents to have my breakfast. Bad news heard while being waken up though. My grandma fell down and can't really move around now. Mummy say tomorrow then will send her to hospital coz the hospitals might not have readily available doctors to attend today also. Anyway, then my relatives started to come my house to Bai nian also! Had some gambling sessions from 3pm to 5pm (which I only end up winning $2, but always better then nothing..lolx) before they started moving off while I started bathing and dressing up to go over to Dar Dar's house ready to go over to his grandma's house. Had dinner at his grandma's house and I got to eat some traditional "Hin hua"(baby's family dialect) dishes for dinner. We then stayed at baby's grandma's house to watch some TV together.

As for now, I'm resting in my room after a bowl of Bird's nest soup prepared by my Mummy, and blogging! Haven blogged for days, too tired and lazy. keke...Tomorrow most probably going to Dar Dar's house for some tom yam steamboat with abalone! Yummy! Sunday will go watch movie with Baby if there's no changes to our plan!

Anyway hope all of us can receive more ang baos in the CNY and always have $$$ come rolling in to our pockets for the rest of our lives!!!heee...

Happy 2nd year anniversary to me and Dar Dar!!

Today marks the 2nd year we've been holding hands together. Nothing as elaborate as our 1st year celebration, but nevertheless I believe we both enjoyed the same. Celebration started as early as Sunday when Dar Dar fulfilled his promise of cooking us his famous carbonara mushroom-bacon pasta. Although the standard dropped but still I love eating his pasta. I still ate a whole lot of it! Hee hee...

Then came Monday when we both couldn't wait to exchange our gifts for each other. Spent quite some time looking for a nice cuff-link for him while he on the other hand bought me my long awaited Prada LG phone!! This as agreed will be the gift for my 3 big occasions of February, that being for our 2nd year anniversary, our Valentine Day as well as for my 23rd birthday!!keke...so I've received my first pressie for the year! hahax...(still trying hard to get used to the new phone...)

Then today, on the exact day, we met for a quite lunch and then after work we went to eat our favourite Happy Pot at the Glutton Bay beside DXO. Last night we even deliberately say goodnight and went to sleep before 12 midnight so that we can sleep into our 2nd year together and wake up in the morning wishing each other "Happy 2nd Year anniversary!!!". We had a very very fulfilling dinner tonight, slept in the bus on our way home with our full stomachs, and then Dar Dar walked me home before kissing each other goodbye...

Tomorrow's gonna be CNY eve. We'll be having reunion dinner at each other's house, first at mine then at his. Hoping for a merry happy CNY this year!

But before that comes, allow me to end this night appreciating my baby Dar Dar. Yes we had our tough times, and horrible things happen. I was unreasonable and he can be really mean to me as well, but I still believe what's most important is that none of us give up hope and keep persevering. True enough it's always easy to say we want to persevere when we're all nice and loving, but I hope and wish here that even in the midst of any rough times we may have ahead, we can still hold on to this faith we have now deep in our hearts. Even if not spoken out, having it deep in our hearts and showing it out with our patient and persevering actions would have been enough. I love you baby. Even after 730 days together and so much wrongs and mismatch between us, I still love you.

    GFSI A10 outing!

Finally after so many months working together and after so many attempts to organize a bonding session among my batch of colleagues, we finally made it yesterday! Though not all were present, it's still considered the most successful one so far!

We started off our outing at Chong Qing steamboat at Bugis area. Though we were suppose to meet at 6pm at Bugis MRT, it should come off as not much of a surprise coz most of us were late! Lolx...and while we were told by the organiser that the place is air-conditioned, the babes came off a little whinny when the place was still so heated up and all of us were like sweating like hell, especially the guys (who always tend to sweat more easily). We ate till around 8 plus 9pm before we had some photo-taking session there after all were done with the eating. S$15 dollars not including drinks, I would think it's considered cheap. A pity the table of colleagues I was sitting with can't really take spicy stuff so I was actually a little disappointed coz I didn't get to really eat with the Ma-La (Spicy) soup base. But nevertheless their company is great! And as Jack (one of my colleagues) is leaving us to another greener pasture, with this coming Wednesday as his last day, he gave all of us a treat (this was seriously not planned).

(On the left is me and my pretty colleagues, on right is me and Shrek!!=p)

(Here's me and Jack, the great man leaving us...with Desiree behind us))

As usual, after-dinner events is never lacking with the guys around. Drinking seems like always a must from what I observed these months. Lolx...So we then headed to the Irish Pub though our initial plan was to go over to Balaclava. We changed our plan subsequently because one of the guys were not allowed to enter in due to his sandals! keke...Strict pub rules then made us change our mind and went over to the Irish Pub. I didn't want to drink much coz I'm still kind of disgusted with the drunk me when I went drinking with some of the pals about a month ago. So I only drank a few glasses of Heineken. Seriously drinking beer after a full steamboat is not a very good idea, especially when drinking games are involved and I'm the one with tough luck and kept losing. Rahhh...

(Me and the some of the babes in my department)

After about 3 hours in the pub, we decided it's time to leave. A few left while 8 of us decided to go over to Simpang for some prata supper! I ordered mushroom cheese and a plain prata (actually felt it was too much for me and wanted to cancel the plain prata but the uncle taking down the order said 1 too little and kept insisting I take 2). In the end, I stuffed myself and still I can't finish...I was cheated! Lolx...Oh man and was the uncle taking the order a fast talker! He talk like a machine gun and all of us laughed ourselves mad when he started rattling off the list of food available. Around 2 plus it was time to leave and end our gathering! It was so much fun I must say! Keke thanks to them all for the fun outing!

Here's the group pic we took before we left...

Hope to have greater working days with them all! Peak is still in the midst of us...hoping all of us will be able to pass through it well! Including me that is! God bless!

    stay home friday!

Been staying at home resting for the whole day, though I never really sleep a lot. Spent the afternoon watching youtube 惡作劇2吻 They Kiss Again Episode 7. Then did some personal grooming (though some guys most probably might regard it as bimbotic stuffs...lolx) which I personally find very important for not just the girls but also guys. Face mask (hope my pic didn't scare anyone..lolx), hair mask, waxing and finally manicure and pedicure! That took me quite a couple of hours.

Today felt so different coz I can't get to see Dar Dar after work like the past few days of the week. He's out with his poly mates for the night. Not wanting to keep calling or sms-ing him, I curbed my hands and brains from disturbing him by pre-occupying them with some television programmes and MSN. Guess he must have enjoyed the buffet dinner at Furama Hotel very much coz there was no news or even a single sms from him since he off work until around 1020pm. He sms-ed me and told me they ordered 2 Martell among the 11 peeps there. Unsurprisingly, I'm worried coz he just stopped medication for some health issues and I really get worried especially when he goes out with big groups of people like that. Or is it just me? Coz most of the time it seems like more people will lead to greater drinking capacity when all get overly high and start pushing people to drink without limits. I know it's common for people to go out drinking coz I do too, but the main reason for my worries is his health.

Wanted to make sure he will be fine when he leaves the place, though he say one of his friends stay at Ang Mo Kio. But it's still not very very near to see him home. So I sms-ed him and request that he give me a call before he leaves the place so that at least if he's not drunk i will be more ease at mind. But after that sms I sent, there was no replies from him. Guess I'll just stay up and wait for his call. It's 1218am now. Usually if I'm out with my friends he'll most probably be sending me a sms to ask if I'm still there. Maybe girls think too much, coz I dunno if it's too early to sms him now since I've already ask him to call me when he leaving. But...what if he's drunk already...

Anyway, deviating away by a little, as I was on MSN chatting with one of my female colleagues just now, I was told that another of my female colleague (whom I mentioned as B in one of my previous posts) cried hard in office today after being blamed by A. She's been working so late every night whenever she's helping A and she is definitely not the kind who is irresponsible. Good-natured, high tolerant level, and humble-learner are perfect words to describe this female colleague of mine. What else or what right does A have to blame or pick on her! Seems like the whole office, or rather the whole of my batch assistants dislike him. He's really not fit to be a assistant manager. Wonder when he'll leave...in my opinion, he's really a disgrace of himself even though the one being scolded is B and he's the one doing the scolding. Coz it just goes to show how incompetent he is in managing his work allocation. Pushing blame to people below him and bad-mouthing people seems like his best skills. Affirmations comes especially when B is not the only one going through this kind of sufferings but it's whoever who gets his job engagement. So if all under him suffers and hate him in unison, who's more likely to be the problematic one? This is taking into account that at least those who were under him are considered good workers when they are under some other people's job. He's just such a jerk!!Real jerk! Hate him for torturing B so much. He really should just pack and leave. Phew...talking about jerks really get one heated up. So shall stop here!

It's 1230am now. No news. Wonder what my baby Dar Dar is doing now other then drinking. He haven drank alcoholic stuff for very long. Wonder if he can handle it if his friends push him to drink. I shall wait...and wait...
