Lunch @ Honjin Japanese Restaurant

Heard much about this restaurant...but haven't had a chance to try it! But since it's a treat...and my boss suggested it...so how can I miss the chance???hahax...

Yesterday went for lunch with Pendi (one of my engagement's AIC)...yep his treat cos' I helped him baby-sit his job while he's away enjoying his holidays!hahax...so I deserve it!!muhahahaha...and so he suggested Honjin for our lunch destination since it's rather near...

The servings there are really big...and I personally think it's worth the money! The food there is really nice! Bella is not one who loves Japanese food a lot other then sushi! No shashimi for me or any other raw and uncooked food for me...yes I know a lot of you must be thinking like how much I don't know I'm missing...but I just can't get myself to enjoy raw shashimi!hahax...and so fortunately @ Honjin, they cater to people like me...no raw food @ all in the set I ordered! Huhoo~~~and I must say the food is delicious! The great variety of food served before me also let me into constant surprise while I moved about trying the different food!

After the heavy main course, we ordered some desserts as well...not bad but rather costly (though I wasn't the one paying!hahax...)...

But overall, Pendi and I both agreed it was a great lunch session...felt really satisfied when we left the place! I'll definitely be back now that I've tried it! heh heh...(^^)

TEAM FATA chalet @ Sentosa

Right after all the New Year mood...Dar's soccer team (TEAM FATA) had their chalet @ Sentosa for the weekend starting on 2nd Jan 2009.

Bella was lucky to be able to take leave on that day as she wasn't assigned any engagement on that week. Phew~really lucky me! hahax...And we met up with Dar's friend Wee Hian @ around 3pm plus to go get the food and do some preparations!

By the time we reached Sentosa it was already 5pm plus. After checking in to the room, we immediately brought all the food down to the BBQ pit! Some of the guys were late...but what matters most is there was still great fun! And by the time we finished all the food, we started some game session. Wee Hian and his "girlfriend" had went out to Vivocity earlier on to get some booze...and I have to say the game session @ the BBQ pit area was rather entertaining! hahax...and by joining in the next table to sing a birthday song (I mean since they were singing...we naturally just crazily join in and sing with them from our table though we don't know them at all), we were awarded a piece of really nice chocolate cake each...and I think we played till near midnight (if I remember correctly) when the available booze ran out of supply before we proceeded up to the room to wash up! And since there was only one bathroom...Siongwei and a few of the guys walked over to the nearby (or not so near actually) 7-eleven to buy some more booze so we can continue with our game in the room.

After all of us were done showering, the game continued! This time round I guess the guys hated me cos' I kept making them do crazy actions (cos one of the rule in the game is if I get a certain card I can constantly do any action and they have to follow, with the last to follow being punished to drink!)...hahax! And so when the booze ran out again, it was sleeping time and we all turned in!

Next day Bella slept til the latest! hahax...and after washing up and eating some noodles that Wee Hian bought for everyone, it was scheduled such that I'll accompany Wee Hian go collect the BBQ food for the day while Dar and the rest get to go to the beach to play their routine soccer! And then when me and Wee Hian were done collecting the food, we went back to the chalet. By then some of the guys have reached and since we could not reach Dar they all, we decided to just stay in the room and watch TV...and it was only when evening was drawing near, Dar they all were finally done with their soccer...

We then proceeded to the BBQ pit once again with the food. We took turns to BBQ the food for all, with me and Dar starting the ball rollin'!The BBQ for the 2nd night was meant more for Dar and Wee Hian's OCS group actually...and can see their bond is really strong! Dar decided to go back home that night instead of staying over for another night cos' guess we didn't really sleep well the previous night due to the room constraint. So after finishing the food, and waited for Joel to reach with his gf, and sitting down to chit chat for a while, we took some photos and left the chalet!

It was a fun chalet and right after we reached home, Dar and me had our showers and then went to sleep! That night, my comforter felt like heaven...and I fell deeply asleep! keke...(^^) Guess both me and Dar appreciate our beds very much that night!!hahax...=p

Bella's Last Day of 2008!

On the last day of 2008 (the eve of New Year), just as per on Christmas eve, my company only worked half day. That particular day was also one of our colleague, Zhen Zhou's last day of work in Deloitte. So other then wishing him all the best, we had a mini farewell lunch + KTV session with him right after work.

We decided to go to the Kbox branch @ Marina Square. As such, we made our way there and settled our lunch @ the Coffee Club there as well. Food wasn't fantastic but still enjoyed the company.

Right after our lunch, we made our way to Kbox. And as usual, upon stepping into the room, we started singing right away! Hahax...and it was a full 4 hours singing session till 6pm as we attempted to close the farewell session by singing "Zu Ni Yi Lu Shun Fung" to wish Zhen Zhou farewell and all the best! Tried 2 attempts and both attempts the Kbox waiter kept coming in to disturb! Hahax...but at least the 2nd attempt was more successful! Keke...Still we had great fun during the whole singing session and bid farewell soon after we left Kbox.

I rushed over to Vivocity to meet Dar cos' we were suppose to meet for movies. We went to watch "IP Man"! Super nice movie!!I love it! But before that we went over to the hawker centre just opposite Harbourfront where one of Dar and my favourite oyster omelette and hokkien mee are sold. Left some space in my tummy for my popcorns of course!!Heh heh...

By the time our show ended, it was already 1130pm...just half an hour away from countdown. We initially planned to join in the Vivocity countdown after our movie, but upon seeing the crowd, we gave up and headed home cos' both of us are quite scared of all the crowd...gives us headache!hahax...and end up...we did our very own countdown in the train! keke...Dar went back home and cook us a little pasta supper after we bathe! Comfy @ home when all the rest must still be squeezing and making their way home...guess we both didn't regret turning away and heading home slightly earlier! Hmm...but someday...maybe I should try to join in a countdown again...or else feels as if I'm really getting old!!hahax...someday!=p
