Christmas Post 1 - w Dar!

(Merry Christmas!)

Christmas has just passed...and just a few days before Christmas arrived, Bella was still feeling kinda down. So Dar came over and find me @ my office area at around noon time cos it's half day work for me on Christmas eve!

Knowing that Bella was upset, Dar brought me to the Marriott Cafe Buffet!!Huhoo~ But maybe cos it's Christmas eve...the usual SGD50++ Lunch Buffet was raised to SGD90++ per pax..and the end bill summed up to approx. SGD105 per pax. But still, since we were already there, we decided to just enjoy ourselves!!

Dar was going all out for this "shell-food" like mussels, clams, lobsters etc while I ventured out to quite a variety of food, especially their dessert section!! hahax...Bella love their roasted turkey and the tender ham too!! Dar didn't have much of the uber big slice we took...I ate most of it!! Yum Yum!! Down it healthily (or somewhat healthy compared to some alcoholic beverage) with the fresh and thick texture pink guava juice and it's heaven!!Huhoo~~

After the sumptous lunch, we went to window shopping for a while to digest the food before heading home (cos Bella and Dar wanted to avoid the big massive crowd that will be flooding into Orchard area for Christmas countdown or what nots!=p)!

And back home, Bella grew tired and took a nap after bathing! Dar prepared a nice meal for us...Garlic Prawn Pesto Pasta coupled with a bottle of Champagne from France. And we had the nice dinner while watching some Christmas movie Dar prepared for the evening. No pushing, no squeezing, no sweating...just all clean and comfy @ home with Dar...

And with the clock striking twelve, we did our small countdown, sealed with a kiss from Dar after wishing each other "Merry Christmas!"

I guess...to many this sounds like a really boring way to spend Christmas eve...but to Bella and Dar...I think we enjoyed it this way! (^^)

Anyways...On the 12th December 2008 (Friday), the few of us (namely Irene, Lifang, me, Xiaowan + her bf (Ben Sim)) decided to meet for dinner @ Dempsey. I was somehow assigned to fix the place to eat...and Bella chose "The Prime Society"!

Called and made reservation on that very day after confirming the time with the babes. That afternoon, to side-track a little...Bella got to meet up one of her JC bestie sister, Peishan, for lunch! We've lost contact for soooo long!! Miss her so much!

Anyways..after knocking off that evening...I made my way down to Orchard to meet Irene and Lifang first since Xiaowan and Ben will be joining us directly @ Dempsey later. Lifang took a cabbie down from her home and pick me and Irene up from Orchard. Major jam around Orchard area...but we still reached earlier then our reservation time. We made our orders while waiting...and Bella chose a 2003 Bordeaux to complement our dinner.

It was chit-chatting while enjoying our food...I quite like my Fillet Mignon in fact! Sadly...Lifang wasn't feeling very well nearing the end of the dinner session...so we quickly paid the bill of near 400 bucks (but thanks to my UOB credit card we paid only 370 bucks..heh heh!) before making a move. Irene and me sent Lifang home first while Ben and Xiaowan made their way to Serangoon Circus to wait for us. After some consideration, we decided to go Ice cube (where I concluded that that shall be my first and last visit to there!Yucks..=p)...some of the reasons...the people taking order don't even know what's on the Menu, they serve the wrong items, and uncomfortable chairs! ~

Ordered the food and then talk loads of crap there before we left @ around 2am plus I think. Took a cabbie home...and conclude a nice night spent! Shall have more gatherings like this more often...=)
