Sweet Saturday Date in May!

As you probably know if you read my past few entries, my Dearie had been busy mugging for his exams and so I was kinda deprived from any dating session with Dar! hahax...so finally, with the end of Dar's exam...we finally decide to have a sweet Saturday date for ourselves! Dar was really secretive about it all...and only revealing that we'll be having food + movie! hahax...

I woke up really late (at around 1pm plus) after last night's date with Fang...and after washing up and dressing up...I was only merely following Dar around cos' he refused to let me know any details as to where we were heading! After 2 buses...we ended up at Thomson Plaza - a place where we used to have our lunches after our Cross-country runs @ MacRitchie Reservoir during our Secondary School days! I haven't been to that place for soooo long!!

And after some attempt to find the place he wants to go...the secret was finally revealed with our brunch @ the Peach Garden! No wonder someone called Dar when we were on the bus asking him if we were reaching already...cos' he booked the seats and we were late for the dim sum buffet~

Dim Sum was nice...especially the Har Gaw and Siew Mai! The egg tarts was really soft and fresh too! And most amazing thing is...I don't know why but when we first walked in...I suddenly feel like I was back in one of the dim sum restaurants in Hong Kong! Maybe I missed the morning breakfast at the dim sum restuarants in Hong Kong too much!keke...=p

After the heavy brunch...we took a walk around the place to let the food digest a little before we took a bus straight down to Suntec! Movie was scheduled to start @ 910pm at Marina Square so we went to Suntec Towers to have a walk first! And with GSS on the go...who can resist all the great deals going on!!We end up having not enough time to shop around the place! hahax...and our buys? - A pair of new soccer boots for Dar, a pair of really comfy new flip-flops and 2 bottles of Medoc for me!!

(Tasted this Medoc 2001 and find it really smooth!! The price made me buy it without much hesitation!only SGD19.90 for this old vintage...I wish I could have brought more home if not for the movies~)

We hurried to Marina Square for our movie (Terminator Salvation) after the shopping spree! All the commercial ads in the movie is really way too much...and we really could have shopped more!hahax...cos' I had wanted to get myself a pair of new running shoes too! Argh~ Anyways...the movie lasted for 116 minutes and while I'm not really a fan of Terminator kinda movie...this one is not bad though I got a little paranoid with Skynet kind of machine like attack after watching the movie that Dar had to hug me so tight after the movie to calm me down!Muahhahha =x

After movies...we headed home with Dar cooking the ever so nice Bacon with Anchovy + Capers pasta for our dinner!!Yupz..we didn't have dinner cos we were feeling full after the late brunch til 430pm plus @ Peach Garden! Hahax...and the pasta was great...though I would still prefer to have it with some succulent prawns!heh heh! Still...a perfect way to end the sweet Saturday Date I was deprived off for sooo long! hahax! Huhoo~(^^)

Friday Escape~

Got a free day on today (Friday) and after sleeping into the noon, I managed to meet Dar for brunch at around 2pm plus. Met up at AMK Hub and went to Ichiban Sushi for some Sushi feast! Yippie!~I lurrveee Sushi!!

After brunch, we then shopped around AMK area for some daily necessities before heading back to Dar's homie! I had a short nap till around 530pm when Dar woke me up to dress up cos' I was suppose to meet Fang for the evening! Met up with Fang at around 7pm plus in town and then straight away went for dinner! Friday nights are really crazy in town with all the restaurants and eateries fully packed! Eventually, we went to Ajisen upon seeing that the queue seem to be moving quite fast! keke...Trash out loads of our miserable complains to each other and it was really great when we have a channel to release our zipped-up emotions! hahax...

After dinner, it was shopping time!!! Quite dangerous for 2 crazy girls to be out shopping...hahax! Recommended some stuff I bought recently @ Face Shop to Fang and alrights...I failed in my attempt to not spend on skincare for the next one month cos I spent on it again! hahax...and we also went to the new shop at Wisma called "Green Petals". Think they have a shop at Far East Plaza too...and gosh their clothes and accessories are really pretty!!!It was so packed in there...but we persevered and got the stuff we loved so muchhhh!!!Huhoo~

So after spending like nobody's business, we decided to have some self-control (though it's probably kinda too late by then..hahax) and proceeded to Cable Car for some drinks as well as to find our dear Amy who's working that day! As usual I had my red wine whilst Fang had some Peach Bellini recommended by Amy (aka HuiHon). Amy also made us some Lychee Bellini to try...and it was really quite nice...full of Lychee flavor! We chatted there from 10pm plus all the way til 1am before we decided to call it a day and head home!

I headed to Dar's home and after washing up...soon fell asleep with my soul looking forward to the sweet Saturday Date that Dar and me agreed to have on the next day! Shall blog about it real soon!! (^^)
